United Methodists are mourning the death of the Rev. Sam W. Dixon Jr., the head of the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) who died last week in Haiti. Sam died during the rescue from the ruins of the Hotel Montana

UMVIM LEADER DIES IN HOSPITAL
It is with deep regret that we now share the news of Clint Rabb's passing overnight. Clint underwent surgery upon his return from Haiti and died while in ICU. Clint was injured in the Hotel Montana when it collapsed in Tuesday’s earthquake.

Please keep Sam’s and Clint's family in your prayers. After the good news of the rescue, we are devastated.
