This event will raise community awareness of the services we provide. In 2008, our 24hr Hotline received 3,888 calls and we served more than 1,000 women and their families. There are many ways in which church members can get involved. We will need lots of walkers to get pledges from family, friends, neighbors and co-workers. Walkers can be individuals or groups. There are great prizes for the top two walkers in each category.

There will be live music, a K-9 and Karate demonstration, a chili cook-off and a “Basket Bonanza” silent auction. People will have an opportunity to bid on more than 30 lovely “theme” baskets. Pony rides, moonwalk, clowns, face painting are among some of the activities for the kids. Lots of food and other refreshments! We will need church groups to volunteer to donate items for the baskets or put whole baskets together for us. You can pick your own theme or select one from the list. I will be coordinating the baskets this year, so please feel free to contact me with any questions.

Lastly, we need business sponsors for our event. If you own a business or work for a business and would like to have your company get involved, please contact us. There are many levels of support and each business will receive different levels of sponsor recognition For more information please contact Hannah Clark at 704.782.2221 or email

Lights....Camera......Worship!

Lights... Camera... Worship! There are many people who work behind the scenes every week to ensure that we have a great worship experience at Crossroads. The Media Team is always looking for people who have a passion for serving behind the scenes in the areas of sound, lighting, video, and stage production. Here are some examples of where you can get plugged in.

Lighting Operator- Design and control lighting scenes during the worship service.

Camera Operator- Be a part of the video team by running a camera during Sunday morning services. This is a great way to get involved in the media team and requires little experience to start out.

Graphics Operator (Kannapolis)- The Graphics Operator is responsible for playing back all media that is seen on screen during the service. This includes song lyrics, video, and sermon notes. Some computer experience is helpful in this position as well as being familiar with praise and worship songs.

Contact Anthony West at 704.707.1167 or at
anthony@xroadschurch.us for more information on how you can be a part of this exciting ministry.
