Family Promise Volunteers Needed

Volunteers are needed to help with the Family Promise Outreach starting this Sunday, January 24-31.

Family Promise is a program for homeless families with children. They stay at a different church each week and will be staying in the NexGen building during Crossroads host week. We will have 2 families this upcoming week. There will be 3 adults, 5 children and 1 infant.

There are opportunities to provide dinner and eat with the guests on:

Sunday and Thursday
A
hot breakfast on Saturday morning is needed
** Money has been budgeted to help offset the cost of providing the meals.

Overnight hosts are needed on Wednesday and Friday nights

Evening Hosts- The families retire to their rooms relatively early, but we would like to have people come in to help fill the gap from the time the Dinner Host leaves until the Overnight Host arrives. This would be from about 7:00- 8:30. There is a single mother with 5 children who will be with us again. She was a wonderful guest the last time we hosted and she's a sweet young lady who is overwhelmed, but trying very hard to make it. We will also have a new family who is grateful to be in the program. This is an easy opportunity to help people from our community as they are in transition to their own home.

Please contact Tami Gilman if you are interested in helping in any way at tgilman@bellsouth.net.
