SWAT Mission Trip to Peytona, WV

The Student Worship Arts Team will be traveling to Peytona, West Virginia June 20-30 to minister alongside Peytona Southern Baptist Church. This youth mission trip is the first for many of the team members. They will be collecting gently used clothing and toys, as well as non perishable food items to distribute to the community. Donations may be left in the missions corner through June 17th.The team is grateful for your consideration in helping meet the basic needs of this poverty stricken community.

Kids 1st Safety Policy and Procedures Training

There will be held a Kids 1st safety policy and procedures training during the first service on June 21 and June 28 in room 202. All and any prospective teachers/volunteers who have not attended training are encouraged to come to this class.

Lights.....Camera.....Worship!

Lights... Camera... Worship! There are many people who work behind the scenes every week to ensure that we have a great worship experience at Crossroads. The Media Team is always looking for people who have a passion for serving behind the scenes in the areas of sound, lighting, video, and stage production. Here are some examples of where you can get plugged in.

Lighting Operator- Design and control lighting scenes during the worship service.

Camera Operator- Be a part of the video team by running a camera during Sunday morning services. This is a great way to get involved in the media team and requires little experience to start out.

Graphics Operator (Kannapolis)- The Graphics Operator is responsible for playing back all media that is seen on screen during the service. This includes song lyrics, video, and sermon notes. Some computer experience is helpful in this position as well as being familiar with praise and worship songs.

Altar Ministry Prayer Team Meeting

The Hands and Feet of Jesus - One Heart Outreach Ministry

The Hands & Feet of Jesus" - an outreach ministry of One Heart, is hosting their next birthday party on Sunday, June 28th at 1:30pm at the Children's Home in Concord. Chassity and Kayla are turning 17 and we need your help with their wish list and party supplies. A cake, drinks and paper products are needed for the party & also party favors for other children attending party. Contact Missy Strayer at elizabeth.strayer@sprint.com about the cake or the wish list for the girls. Please place other donated items in the "mothering ministry" box in the church hallway near the Narthex.

Sunday Fellowship Day at Carowinds

We invite you to Sunday Fellowship Day at Carowinds. A day of fun with your family is scheduled for July 19th, 2009. The price is $30.99 per person ages 3 & older. This is an all day pass that includes your admission & meal. We will gather at one of the Picnic Pavilions which will be open from 3:30pm-5:00pm, meal will be served from 3:30pm-4:30pm only. You may leave to go after attending service, however, we will have the church vans ready for transportation after the third service.

Registration forms can be picked up in the Narthex or NextGen Welcome Desks between services or at the church office during normal business hours.
