Information on how to help Haiti

Health Kits for Haiti through UMCOR Donations and Volunteers Needed

This Saturday, January 23rd
9am-Noon
By now you have seen the pictures/video of the devastation and suffering the Haitian people have been going through since an earthquake hit there last week. Crossroads will be helping to respond to needs there by assembling health kits in the NextGen building
this Saturday, January 23rd from 9am to noon. The following new items are needed:

hand towels (15" x 25" up to 17" x 27" - no kitchen towels)
washcloths
large and sturdy combs (not pocket-sized)
nail file or fingernail clippers (no emery boards or toenail clippers)
3 oz or larger bar of bath soap
toothbrush (new only - in original wrapper, no child-size brushes)
adhesive bandages (Band Aids)
gallon size resealable bags

Please bring with you on Saturday or leave items in the mission corner (by the front office).

Concord Christian Church- Haiti Trip Presentation

The team from Concord Christian Church who was in Haiti when the earthquake hit will be sharing their experiences and pictures at 6:30 pm in their Worship Center. Everyone interested is invited to attend.

Haiti Relief
In an effort to collect needed supplies to send to those suffering from the effects of the recent earthquake in Haiti, Ben Mynatt Chevrolet Cadillac is coordinating with Lifeline Christian Mission, (www.lifeline.org ) which is located in Grand Goave, Haiti (approximately 10 miles west of the earthquake epicenter), to collect needed supplies for shipment to Haiti.

A list of supplies needed is noted below. All supplies collected will be transported to the Lifeline Headquarters in Westerville, Ohio and loaded onto containers and sent to the Mission.

Supplies Needed:
· Peanut butter
· Baby formula - POWDER ONLY
· Meats in foil packaging - no cans please

· Children's shoes or sandals - NEW The cost to ship one container to Haiti is $8,000. Monetary donations can be made directly to Lifeline using their website @ www.lifeline.org
