Mission Leadership Team
The Missions Leadership Team would like to thank our church family for supporting our mission outreach teams financially as well as by covering them in prayer. At Crossroads, we are committed to following the Great Commission given by Christ to minister in our area, state, country and around the world. This year we have already sent teams to Puerto Rico and Kenya, as well as individuals to Brazil and Haiti.
This summer there will be teams going to South Africa, Brazil, Mexico, Ethiopia, West Virginia and the NC mountains. There will also be another trip to Puerto Rico this fall.
The teams have been working very hard to raise financial support to make the trips possible. If you would like to help financially with any of the teams, please make checks payable to Crossroads Church and put the name of the team on your check. The South Africa, Mexico and Ethiopia teams are still raising support for their trips. If you would like to have a complete list of team member names and dates of travel, the lists are found on the prayer table in the back of the Worship Center and the Missions table in the corner at the map. One Heart Summer Bible Study with Jan Darnell
Join us this summer for an 8 week bible study on Sunday nights from 6:30-8:00 starting June 14th at Crossroads Church facilitated by Jan Darnell
A study of Matthew 24...."As In the Days of Noah"...Jesus told some disciples that His coming would be like a "thief in the night." He said it would be like the days of Noah and Lot when people were doing ordinary things until all of a sudden...the gavel of God's judgment hit the sound block. At that point, there was no turning back. When the Lion of Judah breaks the 7 seals on the book of judgment mentioned in Rev. 5, then a series of events are set in motion that will not subside until the Word of God is accomplished. We are not to be afraid of these days but we are to be prepared. Jesus left us with some "heads up" signs of His coming. He also gave us some instructions to follow and encouraging promises for the times we are living in. Come when you can! Matthew 24 lends itself to different topics so if you have to miss for vacations, etc., then you will not be lost or fall behind.
Little or no homework....just fun, fellowship, study and blessing by the Word of God! There are 3 ways that you can register for the class
1) Register at the church office weekdays from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm 2) Register on Sundays at the One Heart table in the Narthex
3) Register now by sending an email to Leigh Garcia with your name, address, and phone number.

One Heart - Beach Blast
Ladies, you are all invited to the One Heart Beach Blast on Friday, May 29 at 7:00 pm in the NexGen Auditorium. Decorate those flip flops, paint your toes and bring your favorite appetizer for some really neat contests. Don't forget to bring a friendand daughters and your favorite beach chair or quilt! We might even teach you a basic shag step. A donation of $5 would be appreciated for this event.

Brazil Mission Team Says Thanks!
Here are the results from the recent Brazil Mission Team 5k
69 registrants. Out of those applicants 24 were male and 45 were female.
18 runners were under 20 years old .
Our first place male runner was Andrew Fried with a time of 18 minutes, 56 seconds.
Our first place female runner was Tamara Clegg with a time of 21 minutes, 15 seconds.
We are so very thankful to all those who turned out to support us, whether walkers, runners or extra hands along the way! We are very blessed as a team.
Parent's Night Out

Congratulations to Jason and Gabriella Espada on the birth of a son, Jason Cooper Espada "Jace" on May 7, 2009. He weighed 8 lbs, 3 oz and 20 1/2" long.

11th Annual Men's Retreat - Registration is closing soon!

This is a camping weekend, men from all denominations and walks of life come together to do one thing, CELEBRATE JESUS! This camping weekend will be held at A Place For The Heart Ministries (www.aplacefortheheart.org) We will go as a group; meet at Crossroads Concord Campus at 5:00 PM. You can bring your own equipment or a limited number of tents and sleeping bags can be provided for registered campers.
