Please pray for comfort and strength for the family of Kevin Cole. There is no brain activity so the family has decided to donate his organs and then the life support will be turned off. Please cover this family in prayer. A memorial service is planned for Monday morning at Crossroads Church.

Children's Choir

The Children's Choir will be meeting on Wednesday evenings at 6:45 - 7:30 Preschool & K2. 7:30-8:15 are for 5th & 6th graders. The choir is seperate from the Community Life Night so parents that do not participate in the Wedensday programs may drop their children off to choir.

Cabarrus County Foster Family Benefit

Tom Johnson Camping Center in Concord is sponsoring an event this year for Cabarrus County Foster Families. October 3 is the 4th annual charity ride with all proceeds going to benefit Cabarrus County Foster Families. Registration starts at 10:30 with bikes out at noon. Pizza Night Fundraiser

The Northwest Cabarrus Bible Teaching Association would greatly appreciate your participation in a fun and easy fundraiser to earn money for the NCHS academic Bible classes. All you have to do is eat pizza!

Where? Ci-Ci's Pizza at Cloverleaf Plaza, Kannapolis.

When? 2nd Monday of each month from 4pm-9pm

How? After you pay for your pizza, place your receipt in the bucket by the register marked "Northwest Cabarrus Bible Teaching Assoication" Ci-Ci's will tally the total amount and dontat 10% of the total to the NCBTA each month.

Missionary Jacques Umembudi from Africa

Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church will be hosting Missionary Jacques Umembudi on Thursday, October 8, at 7:00pm. Jacques is a missionary wit the Borad of Global Ministries of the United Methodis Church assigned to the Wings of Caring Avaition Ministry in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo. He has many uplifiting and interesting events to share with us about his life as a missionary.

The Visitation will be on Thursday (Sept 24) from 5:00 - 8:00 pm at Wilkinson Funeral Home, and the funeral will be on Friday at Wilkinson Funeral Home at 1:00 pm. There will be a reception following the burial at Crossroads at about 3:00 pm.

God's Supper Table - Volunteers Needed

LOCAL OUTREACH OPPORTUNITY - God's Supper Table at Trinity United Methodist Church Kannapolis. Crossroads is in charge of 1st Wednesday every month to provide a free dinner (they have a menu) for about 50-60 people at Trinity UMC. This meal is open to anyone in Kannapolis. We are to provide the meal, do a short devotion and hang out with the people. If your small group, family or friends want to host a month please contact Tammy Enoch at iluvtogo@msn.com you can do this with only 5-6 people or more... We need volunteers for October, November and December.

Mens' Outdoor Adventure

When: Friday, Oct 16 @ 5:30 pm – Sunday, Oct 18 @ 4 pm

Where: Meet at Crossroads Church; Group will travel to Stone Mountain State Park

Transportation: The Group will leave the church Friday Night at 5:30 pm and will return back Sunday at 4 pm. Men must ride with the group due to parking limitations.

Cost: $36 (this includes: 5 meals, tents & camping gear, transportation, Instruction & guide services for rock climbing) Please plan to bring your own sleeping bag.

Puerto Rico Mission Team Auction

The Puerto Rico Mission Team has set the date for the 2nd Annual Auction to be held on October 3, 2009, from 5:00pm to 8:00pm @ Crossroads Church.

Hotdogs/chips/cookies/drinks will be available for purchase.We are looking for donation of items that are NEW or slightly USED and in really GOOD condition. If you have any items you would like to donate for the auction, please let Kevin Musselman know (contact information below); Kevin will make arrangements to pick up items if you cannot deliver them to Crossroads Church.

We would like to ask for your prayers to cover the team traveling to Puerto Rico (Oct. 31 - Nov. 7) and for provision of the monies needed ($14,000 total cost).
