Kids 1st Family Movie Night

Kids 1st Family Movie Night. Come out for a night of family fun and invite all your friends. Join the Kids 1st Staff on Wednesday August 19 @6:30 p.m. in the Nex Gen Auditorium. Enjoy popcorn, soda, and some yummy ice cream from our friends at Brusters Ice Cream! You don’t want to miss out!

Register now for Fall Semester Classes! Fifteen 45-minute classes held August 31 - December 16, 2009 for ages Birth to 3-years-old with both morning and night classes available. One Heart Fall Preview Night

One Heart would like to invite you to our Fall Preview Night for the One Heart Women's Ministries Fall Bible Studies on Monday, August 31 at 6:30 pm at Crossroads Church. You will have a chance to hear all about the studies being offered this fall as well review the materials. We will also have some testimonials and you will have an opportunity to register for the studies. Please mark the date on your calendars and join us.

BASIC Passion Conference January 2-5 2010

Cost is $200 per person which includes hotel, transportation, tickets for the event and 2 meals. A deposit of $50 is required at time or reservation. Change in One Heart Informational Meeting

As a Core Team for One Heart Women's Ministries, we have been praying, fasting and seeking the Lord's guidance and direction for the future. We have been meeting on a weekly basis and have been seeking wisdom from the Lord as we discuss the mission, values, and strategy of a women's ministry that is devoted to reaching out and touching all women. We would like to share with you some new ideas and concepts, values and goals for the future, what's happening in the women's ministry today, and ideas for how you can get involved. There will also be an opportunity for you to ask questions. For your convenience, we will offer this Informational Meeting on Sunday, August 16 after the 11:11 service in room 114 (light lunch will be provided)

Backpacks and school supplies due August 16

Concord and Kannapolis:

Please bring the backpacks for Peytona, WV back to either campus this Sunday. If you purchased school supplies only bring them too. It is great to see such a great response, and we are thankful for your outpouring of generosity.

Zumbathon to benefit the Empty Stocking Fund

The Kannapolis YMCA will be holding a Zumbathon to benefit the Empty Stocking Fund. Free giveaways! Saturday, August 15 8am to 10am. Cost is $5.00 for Y members and $10.00 for non-members. Sew and Sow Ministry Meeting

Sat. Aug. 29th- 8 am to 2pm The Sew and Sow ministry will work together making diapers, children's blankets and other projects that will benefit many in need. They will be cutting out, sewing and serging diapers for orphanages and also making children's blankets. You do not need to know how to sew to help with this ministry.

It is now time to begin preparations for this year’s Carolina Christmas Spectacular! Please prayerfully consider playing a role in helping to make this year’s even tone that will have an eternal impact! The Night of Opportunity will be Sunday, August 16, 2009 at 6:30pm in the Worship Center at Crossroads Church and will provide you with an opportunity to receive more information about this year’s “brand-new”,exciting show and join the movement that will impact thousands in this area for Christ! Prayer and Praise Service with Fundraiser Dinner

The Prayer and Praise Service will be held in the Concord Campus Worship Center at 7:00 PM Wednesday, August 12 Come celebrate what God is doing in your life and worship with others.


Puerto Rico Team will be holding a Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser before the service, 5:30 - 6:45 pm in the Banquet Room. Cost for the meal is by donation.

The Bible's Love Story Class

The Bible’s Love Story is an 8 week class designed to give participants a deeper understanding of the incredible love of God. Beginning in Genesis and going through Revelation, the class uncovers the characteristics and patterns of God’s love that make the cross of Christ even more amazing. Are you a seeker or new Christian who needs a foundational understanding of the Bible story? Or are you a more mature Christian who needs a new revelation of God’s love—a new perspective on an old story? Pray about whether God might answer your needs through this class. The class employs power point presentation, hand-outs, a blog and class discussion to reveal the most incredible love story in all of history. Class Schedule: September 13-November 1 at 11:11am. SWAT Missions Backpack Drive

SWAT missions will be conducting our annual backpack drive for Peytona Southern Baptist Church in Peytona, West Virginia. Our team has just come back from a mission trip to this area. This area has a great need for school supplies. We invite you to help us in this effort. We will be distributing backpacks on Sunday, August 9. The donation for each backpack is $5.00. Each pack will have a list of suggested school supplies. Return date will be August 16. You may return these at the mission center by the main offices. Please join us in this great opportunity to help those children in need!
