Bike Ministry - Give a kid a bike for Christmas!

Do you have bikes that you no longer use? Kids grew out of them and want new ones? We have a Bike Ministry here at Crossroads. Giving Tree Outreach for Cabarrus County Foster Children, Children from the ARC and Families in Need from our Community

Christmas trees filled with tags will be in the front lobby and the NexGen lobby beginning Nov 22. If you would like to bless someone, please choose a tag, purchase the suggested gift, and return it to the church by Dec 13. Please do not wrap the gifts. Put them in a bag with the tag attached and leave them in the missions area or in the NexGen lobby. Gift cards should be dropped off in the Church Office (or though the office door slot on Sundays.) We are getting the names through Cooperative Christian Ministry, the ARC of Cabarrus County and Department of Social Services. Heart to Heart Campaign

North Carolina Right to Life is currently trying to get funds to continue and to expand their "Heart to Heart Media Campaign". From 2006 to 2007, abortions decreased by 1,853 in Charlotte after North Carolina Right to Life Inc. Education Fund ran ads for this campaign in the Charlotte media market. While a majority of other regions in North Carolina experienced an increase in the number of abortions, Charlotte was one of only two regions that experienced a decline - with the decline in Charlotte being almost 3 times the decline in the other regions. It was also estimated that for every $25 donated from people to this cause that the life of one unborn baby was saved from abortion from these commercials.

The purposes of these commercials are: 1. To reach women considering abortion. 2. To offer alternatives to abortion 3. To minister to women and men suffering from PAS, Post Abortion Syndrome. 4. To change minds and hearts to respect life beginning at fertilization. Our goal is to eventually get enough support to be able to run these commercials not only in Charlotte but in other major cities with high amounts of abortion in North Carolina. Please consider making a donation of $10 or more to this cause because without your support these commercials will not be able to continue to run and abortions will once again increase in North Carolina. STARS Preschool News

Thanks to everyone who helped with our food drive and Scholastic Book Fair. We collected over 6 grocery bags of canned foods and earned $800 to spend on classroom books and supplies.

During December we are collecting new socks, hats, gloves and scarves for men and women. Collection boxes are in the 100 hallway.

We are in need of several books to use with our curriculum. If you would like to donate the following titles (new or gently used)you can drop them off at the preschool office.
