Studio 56 Outing - THIS SUNDAY


Corn Maze in Monroe on Sunday, October 18 after 3rd service, 2pm-4pm Parents will have to provide their own transportation. The cost is $9 per person. For additional costs: pumpkin patch ($2.50), pony rides ($2), and fishing lessons ($10).

Autumn Fest 2009 - Candy Donations needed


Please donate a bag (or two) of candy for this years Autumn Fest held on October 31. Containers will be placed in the hallway by the pre-school/nursery and in the NextGen Wing welcome desk area.

This year's Christmas Spectacular will include scenes and styles of music that have never before been included in any of the shows in years past. From disco to rap, to South...ern Rock...all done in a Christmas setting! This year's show is truly one that will push the edges and entertain fans of all ages and backgrounds!

Congratulations!

Congratulations to James and Carrie Smith on the birth today (Oct 14) of their daughter, Kelsey Christine. She weighed 7 lbs 5 oz and 19 3/4" long. Mom and baby are doing well.

Puerto Rico Mission Trip


The Puerto Rico Mission Team leaves October 31 and along with your prayers for our trip, there is a $3,000 short fall for the construction projects. We are trusting in the Lord's provision for all that is needed and if you feel the Lord leading you to give we are truly greatful. Both Sunday, October 18 & Sunday October 25 will be the final Sundays we can receive gifts.

Children's Home Outreach

The next party is Sunday, November 15th at 2:00pm. This party is for Doug who is turning 17. Tiesha will also be during 17 however she will not be there on Sunday so we would like to give her some gifts.

Book Club

One Heart will be starting a book club that will meet once a month at The Spa Villa & Boutique.

The group plans to use the Faith Point Book Club readings from Books-A-Million.

The first book is The Hope Refuge by Cindy Woodsmall. The first meeting will be on Tues. Oct. 20th at 9:30 and get to know each other a little, have coffee and chat. In November the group will meet again to talk about the book.

Hiking

Are you an outdoors kind of girl? Watch for more info on an upcoming hiking adventure in the next few weeks. We are coordinating a day trip that will include lunch and transportation. Get those legs in condition for the exciting adventure.

STARS Preschool Happenings


STARS Preschool will be collecting can goods for CCM this month. Please leave items in boxes outside the classrooms on the 100 Hallway

We will be sponsoring a Book Fair the week of October 19-23, from8:45am-2:30pm. We will have a special Family Night on Tuesday, October 20, from 5-7pm. Everyone is invited!

We are also collecting loose change during
the book fair. This money goes to One For Books. Not only does the preschool benefit by having money to purchase more books but Scholastic matches our donations and donates up to one million books to non-profit organizations dedicated to helping kids and families in need.

Trip to see "Messiah's Mansion"


The Beth Moore study group at Crossroads would like to invite all ladies on a trip, Thursday, October 22 to tour "Messiah's Mansion" - a traveling exhibition of the
Tabernacle. The exhibit is located at 920 N. Sharon Amity Road in Charlotte. The tour is FREE and takes 70 minutes to walk through. Anyone interested in going with the group should meet at the church at 1:30 pm to carpool.

Crossroads Connection Class - Kannapolis Campus

The Kannapolis Campus will be having a Connection Class starting Wednesday, October 14 from 6:30pm-7:30pm at the Kannapolis YMCA. For more information contact Mike Fongemy at mike@xroadschurch.us or 704.707.1158

Gift Wrapping in Kannapolis

The Kannapolis Campus will be wrapping up gifts at the Kannapolis Wal-Mart on Saturday, December 12 from 9-4. Volunteers are needed to wrap and donations of wrapping paper, tape, bows and name tags are needed.
