Cabarrus Literacy Council - Book Drive

Drop-off hours are 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday, through June 11th. They are in great need of adult books of any kind including history, biography, fiction, mystery, motivational, sports, etc. Deliver books to Cabarrus JobLink Career Center Employment Security Commission Building, 2275 Kannapolis Highway in Concord.

Movie Night - Support Navajo Mission Team

Make plans to bring the family and enjoy “UP”, a great Disney movie about the adventures of a boy scout and his elderly friend who end up flying half way across the world to save a rare bird. It caters to both children and adults and is a must see movie about developing relationships through adversity. The cost of admission is a donation to help the Navajo Mission Team make it to New Mexico to serve.

Rock Climbing Adventure

Saturday, June 12 - Half-day event | Crowder's Mountain State Park

Wide Open Ministry and Capstone Climbing & Adventure are teaming up to offer families in our church and community an accessible outdoor adventure experience. Just bring a sack lunch and adventurous spirit and we will provide the rest; full instruction on harness use, knot tying, belaying, and climbing technique. All equipment is provided and this fun adventure is appropriate for ages 10 years old and up. Registration is required.
