New Outreach Ministry
Monday, July 20
6:30-8:30 PM
Crossroads Church
Room 114
Do you enjoy sewing or working with fabric? Then come and join us to help with projects that will benefit many in need..... We will meet for the first time on Monday, July 20 at Crossroads Church in Room 114 to work together making diapers, children's blankets, and other projects. You do NOT have to have a sewing machine to join us - there are other jobs to be done, like cutting or hand sewing or encouraging!!!! During our first meeting we will schedule future workshops and try to come up with a name for this outreach ministry. Please call Julia Roskamp at 704-519-9637 with any questions or for more information.
If you cannot join us, we are in need of old towels, wash cloths or flannel blankets so we may use in our sewing projects.
New Hope Women's Ministry
On October 3rd New Hope Women's Ministry is hosting a Miracle of Life Celebration from 4:00-9:00pm at Village Park on West C Street in Kannapolis. This is a family-friendly celebration with good food, fellowship, an arts and crafts corner, fun children’s games, and live Christian entertainment. Our guest speaker for the evening will be Gianna Jessen, a saline abortion survivor. You won’t want to miss her testimony and how God is using this young woman for HIS glory! All proceeds from the event will go to New Hope Women’s Ministry to continue the Lord’s work within the community as we have been commissioned to do. If you are interested in becoming a sponsor for this event, please contact New Hope Women's Ministry directly at 704-575-8714.

Birthday Party Orphanage Outreach
Birthday Party Orphanage Outreach
Sunday, July 19th at 1:30pm
Berlyz is turning 17 and Destiny is turning 15 this month. Our outreach ministry team focuses on being the hands and feet of Jesus within our local community. For the past eight months, this team has been providing monthly birthday parties for the children at the children's home. Each month a volunteer sends an email with the details and items needed for the birthday party. We provide cake, drinks, paper products, birthday gifts for the children, and gift bags for the other children attending the party. If you would like to donate items for the party, please place them in the "Mothering Ministry" basket by the church office prior to the day of the party. God has been so good to bless this ministry in providing dedicated volunteers, gifts and cakes each month and we ask that you pray for His continued blessings and guidance for this ministry. These birthday parties have been a blessing to these children as well as the volunteers. Most of us take for granted that we'll have cake and gifts on our birthday, and without this ministry, many of the children would not. They are very humble and grateful to us and this is a great opportunity to show God's love.
Here are a few suggestions: Berlyz said she loves to shop at Rue 21. She also likes Foot Locker. She loves horses. She also expressed that she would love to have a Play Station 2. I think those are pretty expensive, but if anyone has an old one that their kids don’t play anymore, then just let me know.
Destiny likes to shop at Aeropostale. She also likes Finish Line. Wal-Mart gift cards are always appreciated. Their house mom said they both need new tennis shoes. Of course they would love anything that any teenage girl likes…lip glosses, finger nail polishes, any girly stuff!!! I think all of the girls like Claire’s. Please don’t feel like you have to buy them something. Prayer is the best gift that anyone could give!!! If you would like to attend the party, then you are more than welcome. They love it!
If you would rather make a donation, then you can send a check to: “Love the Little Ones’ 48 Manor Avenue SW Concord, NC 28025. For more information regarding this ministry, contact Missy Strayer at elizabeth.strayer@sprint.com
