Imagine thousands of United Methodist going out into their communities all across the western half of North Carolina on one specified day to be in action, reaching out, and serving others. Imagine United Methodist working hand in hand, arm in arm and extending the love of Christ. Imagine tearing down walls, building relationships, and reconnecting our church with the community. Imagine the entire conference at one time, on one day, in unity, living out the commandment to “Follow Jesus. Make Disciples. Transform the World.”
The Western North Carolina Conference has been chosen by United Methodist Communications (UMCom) to be the pilot conference for just an event. On Saturday, June 5th the Salisbury District will join the WNCC and UMCom in simultaneous district service events, which will “IMPACT” communities across our conference.
If you would like to be part of designing and creating the Salisbury District’s “IMPACT” event please come to the District office on Tuesday, January 12 at 7 p.m. All interested laity and clergy are encouraged to attend this meeting. So, we are asking that all clergy please share this information with your congregations. If you have any questions please call Rev. Annalee Allen (980-234-0791) or Rev. Andrea Conder (704-223-1375).
We look forward to seeing you on January 12. Bring your ideas and bring your excitement. Impact 2010!
