Community Outreach Opportunity

Kerr Street United Methodist Church will hold their first annual Community Thanksgiving Day meal free of charge to anyone who needs a meal. They expect to serve over 700 meals. Meals on Wheels does not run on Thanksgiving Day and many families are in need of food. You are invited to participate in this outreach by preparing and serving meals or by donating food – especially desserts. Drivers are needed to deliver the meals to shut-ins and to others who cannot get to the church. Most of the work will be completed by noon on Thanksgiving Day, so volunteers will still have time to have a Thanksgiving meal with their families. This is a rewarding ministry that the whole family can participate in.
