This is a whole new way to look at "work". If you are considering a career change, are concerned about your current job outlook, or are just questioning the purpose in what you do every day that you call "work", this is your opportunity. 85% of the process of finding the right career direction comes from looking inward. This workshop offers a fresh perspective by looking at you first - then the 15% application part comes into view.
This course is a motivational workshop that teaches how to identify and secure employment based on his/her skills and abilities, personality, values, dreams and passions-rather than based solely on job history. The workshop teaches thought patterns, behaviors and principles of success using examples from the lives of iconic figures in our culture and history (Henry David Thoreau, Helen Keller, Wayne Gretzky and many others). During the workshop, the student will develop a personal mission statement, a life plan, specific 1-month, 3-month, 6-month, 1-year, 5-year and 10-year goals, and will actually carry out a defined job-search or business start-up process. The course material encourages traditional employment for those who prefer it and entrepreneurship for those who desire self-employment.
Classes will be held beginning Thursday, February 19 at 6:30 PM at the Concord Campus in room 122. Cost of the class is $89 per individual, or $119 per couple. Please contact Mark Burch with any questions at 704-706-9981 or markburch@xroadschurch.us
